Tuesday, April 16, 2019

The Irvine community celebrates excellence in teaching at a special awards ceremony for the staff of IUSD and their families and proud sponsors of education in the city. This special event is hosted by IUSD, ITA, and The Exchange Club of Irvine in association with the Barclay to recognize the outstanding teachers, nurses, counselors, librarians, and speech language therapists who provide such dedicated service to the students of Irvine Unified School District. These outstanding educators have excelled in meeting the diverse needs of all students in order to provide the highest quality educational experience we can envision.

This event celebrates the individuals who deliver upon our mission to enable all students to become contributing members of society, empowered with the skills, knowledge and values necessary to meet the challenges of a changing world.

Located in Orange County, California, the Irvine Unified School District comprises a diverse population of more than 35,000 K-12 students in one early childhood learning center, 23 elementary schools, four K-8 schools, six middle schools, five high schools and one continuation high school. Since becoming a school district in 1972, IUSD schools have been nationally recognized for comprehensive programs in academics, the arts, and athletics.  Through a partnership with talented and caring teachers, engaged students, involved parents, and supportive business and community leaders, student and district performance continually exceeds state and national standards.
