Give by Phone
Call (949) 854-4607 to make your gift over the phone using your credit card. You can choose to contribute monthly if that makes it easier for you.

Matching Gifts
You may work for a company that matches charitable contributions. In some cases, even retirees can have their gifts doubled or tripled, increasing the level of their memberships. Ask your Personnel, Benefits, or Human Resources Department for details about how to get your gift matched.

Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
Giving from a DAF, a sort of personalized, charitable savings account, can have significant tax advantages. Even small investors may contribute cash, stocks, real estate or other assets to an account to invest for tax-free growth. Then, you  recommend grants from your  fund to the Barclay.

IRA Distribution
Do you have an IRA? If you are one of those who need to make a required minimum distribution, converting it to a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) can be a great way to give and lower your adjusted gross income.

Gifts of Securities
A charitable gift of appreciated stock held more than a year can be advantageous for you and the Barclay. Instead of selling the shares and then donating the cash proceeds, donate shares directly to avoid paying capital gains. You benefit and the Barclay gets a larger gift!

Planned Giving
By making a legacy or planned gift, you can secure both your legacy and that of the theater for generations to come. The easiest and most common way is through a bequest. Typically, this simply means setting a fixed dollar amount or even a percentage of your estate to be given to the Barclay.

You may designate other valuable assets, too. Gifts like stock, a life insurance policy, real estate, an IRA or 401k don’t always come readily to mind, but they can be transformative for a non-profit like ours. If you have questions about any of these options or about a method that isn’t listed here, please call Michael Lawler, Director of Development, at (949) 854-4607 or email him at lawler@thebarclay.org.

Every gift is important, no matter what form it takes. More than anything, your participation at a level and manner that is comfortable for you is the key.  Your involvement as audience members and annual fund donors has been the foundation of our success and will, no doubt, continue to be so.  For that, we are grateful.

The Barclay is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with Tax ID: 33-0157868. Contributions to Irvine Barclay Theatre are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.
